Embark on an exciting journey as a Network Security Expert and become an indispensable part of our dynamic IT Security team at DPG Media. Collaborating with a team of proficient professionals, you'll be at the forefront of defending our IT assets against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

Your role will involve providing expert advice on network security best practices and ensuring the secure implementation of network architectures. You'll wield significant influence in making crucial decisions regarding network architecture design, offering diverse network security recommendations, and contributing to the development or review of security standards and policies to uphold cyber risk at an acceptable level.

Beyond your primary focus on network security, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the management and operations of critical IT security platforms, including network zero trust, secure web gateway, EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management systems, and cloud security technologies. Your responsibilities:

• Leading network security advisory within the IT Security department;

• Designing, auditing, reviewing, and advising on network and security infrastructure;

• Proactively identifying necessary improvements and driving them forward;

• Assisting in security incident handling based on your extensive experience.

Our expectations:

• Several years of experience in operational management of network and firewall environments in a larger, complex setting;

• Preferably, experience in an advisory or architecture role in network security;

• Strong interest (and/or background) in non-network security technologies;

• Particular interest in cloud infrastructure security, including AWS knowledge and/or certification, or a willingness to learn;

• Experience in network design;

• Experience with OT and iOT and/or specific media environments is a plus;

• Knowledge of a programming language like Python or similar scripting language is a plus;

• Strong organisational and communication skills;

• A collaborative team player with an agile mindset;

• Fluency in Dutch, with effective communication skills in English.
